Vitamin A Palmitate (CAS:79-81-2), also known as Retinol, is a key member of the Vitamin A family, synthesized by the chemical reaction of Vitamin A and palmitic acid. As an approved Vitamin A series additive in China, it exhibits superior stability to light and heat compared with pure Vitamin A and Vitamin A Acetate, which are extremely unstable under such conditions. This unique property makes it less prone to decomposition and extends its application to production processes involving heating and light exposure.
It is an indispensable substance for normal human metabolism, supporting human growth, development, reproduction and cell membrane stability, and playing a critical role in visual formation. Besides, Vitamin A Palmitate promotes cell proliferation, differentiates necrotic cells, and acts as a natural antioxidant by binding to free radicals that may cause gene mutation.
